after updating to latest beta (from 2017.09.25 19:19 to 2017.09.28 10:07
[I didn’t realize that there was a newer beta yesterday]), it works.
Just in case it may be relevant, \blockligatures[u:fl:age] blocks
ligatures in auflegt and Aufl.
Minimal sample:
