Steve
thanks for note that we are hardly reworking ntop to add flow collection so something might not work. We need to let people specify defaults I know but I will change the data default.

Over the week-end I want to cut a first alpha for testing.

Your feedback is appreciated, Luca

can you please try again after syncing with SVN?

Thanks Luca

Hi Luca,

Been running an hour - no crashes!!! Plus the cpu utilization is much lower.
Running about 15% of cpu shown by top - with occasional spikes over a 100%
This is on a Atom D510 1.66gh Dual Core Dual Threads 4 GB of mem and 120GB SSD.

Also you might want to default the "data" directory to /var/tmp instead of /tmp.

/tmp on fedora is now a memory file system.

I am running on CentOS but I have /tmp mounted on a memory file system..

Thanks for the great work.
