If ntop can't find a file named "protocol.list", it processes the text
(filename) as a list, which then fails, because "protocol.list" is an
unknown protocol.

Try giving it a full path ... the script/etc. may not have a pwd where you
think it is...

Subject: [Ntop-dev] bug

Hello,

just installed ntop 2.1.53 on my redhat 7.2 i586.
and it didn't parse protocol.list file if i start ntop like that:

  ntop -P /home/proton -p protocol.list -u nobody -d

  that's what /var/log/messages says:

  Dec 25 14:13:28 gw ntop[13146]: Processing protocol list: 'protocol.list'
Dec 25 14:13:28 gw ntop[13146]: Unknown protocol 'protocol.list'. It has
been ignored.

however, starting without -d works fine.

P.S. sorry for my pure english.
