Falk,

pls. don´t give up ! I´m still using gcc 3.0.4 preported from HP
porting centres http://hpux.asknet.de/ on a 715 CX 100.

Dear Ladies and Sirs,
this is my build status:

- buildall.sh phasis completed without errors and warnings

- rrdtool did not build because it needs HP Ansi CC for the perl
modules. I´m still trapped in this issue.
I had not time to care for HP Ansi CC install images.
- A perl build from scratch on HP-UX with gcc is not supported by perl team

- ntop configure did not detect openssl on its default location,
I posted this, but I received no feedback from Burton or
  other developers.

- multithread mode was correctly detected

- make phasis (build) stopped within util.c
(all messages from make phasis attached as make.results.gz )

This is my old status, solution: actual cvs ! or put a a space between ...P
and (

Do you use HP-UX 11 ?
I can't do a downgrade to this old gcc, perhaps you can do an update to
this:

  autoconf 2.57
  automake 1.7.2
  bison 1.875
  flex 2.5.4a
  gawk 3.1.1
  gcc 3.2
  libiconv 1.8
  libpcap 0.7.1
  libtool 1.4.3
  m4 1.4
  make 3.79.1
  perl 5.8.0
  samba 2.0.7
  sed 4.0.3
  tcpdump 3.7.1
  texinfo 4.2
