Roy, It would be interesting in detail to know what you did to make ntop compile possible on Solaris 9. Like: what did you do extra after Solaris ( full release install ?) install , which packages etc etc. Would that be possible Roy, a detail compile/install instruction ? Thanks Jac

On Solaris 9 (Ultrasparc platform), I finally managed to get ntop compiled, with the minor caveats: A) The Sun commercial compiler would fail with: --- ******************************************************************* * * * ERROR: gdbm header or library routines are missing * * (yes means it was found, no means it was not found) * * * * gdbm.h...no * * gdbm_open() in -lgdbm...yes --- With config.log reporting: configure:3638: cc -c -xO5 -I/usr/local/ssl/include -lnsl -lsocket conftest.c >&5 "configure", line 3633: undefined symbol: choke "configure", line 3633: syntax error before or at: me cc: acomp failed for conftest.c configure:3641: $? = 2 B) I couldn't get --with-ossl-include working -- it couldn't find the include files in the directory. I ended up having to copy them into a standard place. -roy _______________________________________________ Ntop-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop-dev _______________________________________________ Ntop-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop-dev
