That spurious = seems wrong.

Check your export line:

CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401/export/home/ntop


It works fine for me:

$ cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401/export/home/ntop
CVS password:

You may have to give it the :2401 (port number).  Some versions of cvs
require it, some don't, some choke if you do give it.
