Hi all,
I have never experienced the problem you reported:

Tue May 18 23:43:37 2004 **WARNING** RRD: rrd_update(/usr/share/ntop/rrd/interfaces/eth0/ipBytes.rrd) error: not a simple integer: 'u'
Tue May 18 23:43:37 2004 **WARNING** RRD: rrd_update(/usr/share/ntop/rrd/interfaces/eth0/tcpBytes.rrd) error: not a simple integer: 'u'
....

All I can tell you (Tobi definitively is the expert) is to delete the rrd file and let ntop create it again. I'm not sure but it seems to me that the .rrd file does not contain the expected data. If this is not the solution, please rebuild ntop from the CVS source so that I can tackle your problem.

Good luck, Luca

I apologize in advance for what may seem like spamming. I've been working on this problem for over a week, and I've gotten no closer to a solution. If you can find time to help, I would be most appreciative. [Tobias knows that I back up what I say with useful documentation changes].

I'm attempting to use the SIM ISO that Michael Boman
created, for the purpose of studying the integration
techniques you've used in OS-SIM. The ACID interfaces
have the best utility at the moment.

I'm having difficulty to make the RRD data appear in
the Ntop Netflow and the top level Anomalies panels.

The RRD data is regularly refreshed, but is not displaying.

There are errors logged, and it would not surprise me to know
that I have created a few configuration errors during the course
of the changes I've made to get the software to co-operate.

I'm providing a copy of the ntop log, the ossim log (sorted),
the issues-actions list. Let me know if any of this helps
identify the problems that I'm experiencing.

We are rewritten some plugin configuration code, thanks a lot, the
problem is now solved.

Greatings,
David.

David,
the os-sim suffers from a missing include file.

Please apply the attached patch.

Also, the included shell script will help find
future dangling references.

All the Best,
-Mike Slifcak
