Hi,

Currently, I'm working on a ntop plugin to analyze DNS traffic. So far, I have
finished a primitive version which can print out some basic infomation and pick
out some error queries. However, sometime it encounters a segment fault problem,
which indicates bugs in the plugin.

While debugging, ntop throws out lots of messages like this:
Thu Jun 2 14:15:10 2005 **WARNING** Error: bad magic number
[expected=1968/real=0][deviceId=0]

My question is what the magic number means and under what situation it may be
modified.

Thanks in advance!

Keith
