(1) No particular reason, I just felt that resizing to 44 bytes would be strange, and could fail for people whose NICs have even longer names. So I doubled to value to 64 to provide extra room. I did not rename my NICs: WinPcap makes up its own names.
(2) I won't make it in time. I focused on solving this issue and didn't really polish my modified sources - I just hacked things together instead of doing #ifdefs, and I refuse to send messed sources for you to wade through. I'll make it good and portable before submitting; if you consider it important, please visit http://savefile.com/projects.php?pid=420840 and download my sources to make your own diffs. I hope to tidy things up and make diffs this weekend. BTW, to those running ntop on Linux, can you get it to generate arbitrary graphs? ntop crashes on my Windows box when I try.
