first of all please use ntop that's on CVS not an old version.

It looks to me that either ntop cannot write into /var/ntop or dot has
some problems. I have checked ntop and it works for me

I will investigate this problem. Nevertheless having a lot of devices
makes no sense unless they send very few flows. Handling flows in fact
is quite costly.
