*) The fedora ntop.spec is broken. as of now, I have put together a
semi-functional version which,however, is no longer working because of
libraries that do not get packaged (ntop, ntopreport).The existing
version (which needs to have various Patch statement removed to even
start working) plays games with libraries and ends up removing their .so
extension, then fails to package a number of the files it has so
mangled. No idea why).
I don't think the patches were ever checked into ntop cvs because the
changes were happening so rapidly. If you are trying to build a rpm without
the patches it simply will not work.
Your best bet is to start with the last SRPM posted on the Fedora bugzilla
package review:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=219025#c104
This srpm contains all the pathes and files needed to build.
== build fails n FC6: output
One of the patches that you have removed "fixes"[1] this problem which is
that the --disable-static configuration option in ntop is broken. I've
posted this several times now, most recently Jun 8 regarding this switch not
working.
[1] it's actually a patch derived from bisection, which has a side-effect of
making the build work. The real fix it to make autotools work.
