It's not garbage, it's IEs way of telling of a problem resolving an image
file.  Make sure the flags are installed in the directory.  Sometimes an
error in make install will leave you with a 'working' but munged install.
Delete and reinstall can fix it.

Hi, 
I am having a problem with NTOP 3.3rc under Suse 9.3. This is many garbage
in the screen related to the country flags icons. 
Does anyone knows how to solve this ? 
Below is a copy of the screen.
