I synced with SVN and tested with just the updated kernel module, which didn't fix the CPU issue, then tested installing the new libpfring, which did appear to fix the issue. Pfcount uses about 95% of the CPU handling 520Kpps, and pfcount_multichannel uses about the same. When I analyze the threads on pfcount_multichannel, one uses 65% and the others use random amounts amounts < 10%. It looks like the CPU issue is fixed. Unfortunately when I CTRL+C'ed pfcount_multichannel it crashed the system (like with my bug report) and I need to wait for a local tech to reboot. I will try to gather more data for the bug report.
