I have compiled nprobe 6.9.3 with all the plugins, on 32 bit CentOS 6.x platform. The compile succeeds, and I am able to launch the program and it works, but I get the following errors: 27/Sep/2012 12:06:48 [plugin.c:69] ERROR: FATAL ERROR: elementId clash [HTTP Protocol Dissector][57657][HTTP Host Name] that conflicts with [SMTP Protocol Dissector][57657][Mail sender] 27/Sep/2012 12:06:48 [plugin.c:528] WARNING: Plugin /usr/local/lib/nprobe/plugins/libhttpPlugin-6.9.3.so will be ignored if I remove the SMTP dissector from the plugin directory, the program crashes when I try and run nprobe and try to use the HTTP plugin: /usr/local/bin/nprobe -E "0:3" -f 'tcp and port 80' -a -n netflowcollector:2055 -i eth1 -t 60 -d 15 -V 10 -T '%IPV4_SRC_ADDR %IPV4_DST_ADDR %IPV4_NEXT_HOP %INPUT_SNMP %OUTPUT_SNMP %IN_PKTS %L4_DST_PORT %L4_SRC_PORT %IN_BYTES %FIRST_SWITCHED %LAST_SWITCHED %PROTOCOL %IPV4_SRC_MASK %IPV4_DST_MASK %IN_SRC_MAC %OUT_DST_MAC %TCP_FLAGS %CLIENT_NW_DELAY_SEC %CLIENT_NW_DELAY_USEC %SERVER_NW_DELAY_SEC %SERVER_NW_DELAY_USEC %APPL_LATENCY_SEC %APPL_LATENCY_USEC %HTTP_URL %HTTP_RET_CODE %HTTP_REFERER %HTTP_UA %HTTP_MIME' Segmentation fault and from the /var/log/messages: Sep 27 11:34:58 pod-cpu17124 kernel: nprobe[6196]: segfault at 100 ip 0012e0da sp b60d56b0 error 4 in libhttpPlugin-6.9.3.so[12b000+5000] I read a previous message about the elementID conflict, but the workaround didnt really apply to me... I did not see any extra symlinks in the directory structure. Im wondering what the conflict is, and why might I be getting the getting the seg fault when trying to use the http plugin?
