Hi All, I have a general query about the behaviour of nDPI. How is nDPI able to map a packet to a particular protocol? Considering its doing Deep Packet Inspection, it won't be looking at the port number only. Then how does it map a packet with appropriate protocol. Is it that it maps a packet with each protocol inspection one by one and then checks which protocol inspection is performed successfully. Or is there some efficient algorithm its using in finding the protocol. If that so, can you please refer me to that section of code so that I can have a better look at it. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
