I follow the instructions posted here http://www.ntop.org/nprobe/how-to-built-yourself-a-nbox-probe-and-packet-recorder but I end up getting a version mismatch error. I can't imagine I'm the only one having this running Ubuntu 12.04 x64. Here is the error message when trying to install the packages:
root@netmon1:~# apt-get install pfring nprobe n2disk ntop5 nbox Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: n2disk : Depends: pfring (= 5.6.1-6637) but 5.6.1-6652 is to be installed nprobe : Depends: pfring (= 5.6.1-6637) but 5.6.1-6652 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
