A quick md5sum on the pf_ring_zc drivers between the two servers immediately pointed to a discrepancy between the pf_ring.ko in ~/PF_RING/kernel and /lib/modules/3.16.0-4-amd64/kernel/net/pf_ring/pf_ring.ko. Somehow, I evidently missed the "make install" as root in ~/PF_RING/kernel. I suspect that "make install" was done twice on the other server in confusion over ssh terminal windows. Lesson learned: When it doesn't work, GIT a new one and try again! :) Thanks.
