Is there anybody with ntop who knows the answer to my question? If the temporary licenses were available I'd be more than happy to spend some money to find out myself, but 300 euros is just too much.

Kind regards,

Arthur

Hi,

I want to use nprobe in collector mode to create flows, currently I'm
running in DEMO MODE. I use the following command:

# nprobe -i eth2,eth3,eth4,eth5 -b 1 -Q -1 -u -1

In the output from nprobe I get:

23/Dec/2015 11:42:55 [pro/pf_ring.c:382] Using PF_RING in-kernel
accelerated packet parsing
23/Dec/2015 11:42:55 [pro/pf_ring.c:386] Dumping traffic statistics on
/proc/net/pf_ring/stats/20044-eth2.111
23/Dec/2015 11:42:55 [pro/pf_ring.c:382] Using PF_RING in-kernel
accelerated packet parsing
23/Dec/2015 11:42:55 [pro/pf_ring.c:386] Dumping traffic statistics on
/proc/net/pf_ring/stats/20044-eth3.112

So it seems only traffic from eth2 and eth3 is used to create flow data,
eth3 and eth4 aren't used. Is this limitation there because of DEMO MODE
or will the licensed version also have this limitation?

Thanks and regards,

Arthur
