I've been using ntop for a few years now and it's been very useful. Now I would
like to do a bit more than just browse the web interface.
My goal is simple: create a custom script that runs every, say, 15 minutes, and
searches for all "hosts" that were seen on my "bridge server" (where ntop is
running) whose total traffic (down + up) was superior tu a threshold (in bytes)
within the last quarter of an hour. I would then perform an action based on
this event (notify IT staff, etc.).
I'm sure this must be simple but haven't found a clear example on how to do it.
Any pointers?
Running ntop 3.2.
