The new debugging level was applied but there isn't a error message again.
Maybe im looking into the wrong place(/var/log/messages)?

Yesterday afternoon there was a warning and a error message but ntop was still
running without problem. But today i visit the webpage and it was down.

This are the error messages:
Oct 13 16:11:45 localhost ntop[7919]: WARNING: Max num hash entries (8192)
reached (see -x)
Oct 13 16:11:45 localhost ntop[7919]: **ERROR** Sanity check failed (2) [Low
memory?]
