I wouldn't bother with jperf, the cli is fine. Its a pretty basic process so 
not many options to learn. If you have any questions hit me up off list, I'll 
send you some sample cli commands.

Thanks for the info.  iperf (and its gui front-end jperf) seem to be the ticket 
for me.  Sucks that I'll have to find a PC for each end, but c'est la vie.

There's a pretty sparse mailing list operating from Sourceforge for iperf.  Is 
that the best place to go for help if I need it?

I'll probably go that route if necessary, or string a CAT-6 cable (over 300ft, 
but will probably work), but I've already had these D-Link boxes lying around 
and they seem to connect okay.  Like I said, I need to evaluate the reliability 
of the link for more than a few minutes at a time.
