I had GeoIP installed so I installed the DEV libraries for it and walla, I got a good install and currently have NTOP running.

I don't recall if GeoIP is a mandatory requirement, and nTop used to install it if it wasn't there. I don't think it's mandatory - but it is kinda cool. I DO recall list postings about Python is now a mandatory requirement for the install. And generally speaking, if there's a "dev" version of a requirement (like Python), you'll likely need the dev version. Nonetheless, do you have Python? Also, nTop used to require the GNU AutoTools: Autoconf, Automake, M4, etc. I THINK it still does, but again - not sure.. I would suspect the autogen.sh would spew plenty of warnings, errors, etc. if any of the tools were missing. Sorry I didn't get a change to mess with this today. I'll try early next week if any of the above doesn't help you out. Sorry you're having so many problems, I thought most/all make problems were pretty much resolved - as long as you have the tools and follow the steps of course!
