Good topic. It would be cool if ntop.org hosted a place where users could upload scripts, tools, ideas, etc. Where (ntop.org, wiki, source forge, whatver) doesn't matter to me - other than ntop.org should at least mention it and link to it.
I can't help you with scripts per say, but ntop has some "ad hoc reporting" with rrd. I think it's in the rrd plugin, I don't recall. I need to look at some stuff in nTop so I'll see if I can find it. Else, I know some people have used wget, snmp plugin, etc. to help with what you're trying to do. For example, I would like to know the highest talking ip address from 12 to 1pm everyday (over 5 days or longer), etc. I have been using ntop for quite some time for my netflow collector. Currently I am using NTOP v4.0.3 in Network Security Kit (NST) v2.13.0. I played around with some of the data dumps but thought I better ask around before I reinvent the wheel. -- Thanks, Joe _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop <font size="1"> <div style='border:none;border-bottom:double windowtext 2.25pt;padding:0in 0in 1.0pt 0in'> </div> "This email is intended to be reviewed by only the intended recipient and may contain information that is privileged and/or confidential.
