Dear all I have just cut ntop 4.1. After a long time spent with kernel development and nProbe, I think it's time to restart development in ntop. As I will be changing the ntop engine pretty soon, I think it was fair to release the code that was sitting on SVN since some time. 4.1 simplifies some internals that created some memory usage and instability of the application. So something like mysql/matrix is gone, but in return the application should be more stable and less memory hungry. Support for facebook/twitter has been added, and ancient protocols removed
The goal for post 4.1 is to make the application faster, integrating some changes I have made in nprobe, and more efficient. This will be an incremental release so that it will not take too long before it will be out.
