Because L2 is now a first class citizen

again, will opendpi be integrated so that tcp/udp protocols are detected not
only with the tcp headers.
in terms of performance, is a problem?
Note that I do not use the vanilla OpenDPI but I have forked and extended it.

It is already integrated: sessions are detected, and so applications used by
hosts (e.g. you can see how much Skype traffic an host has done). I need to
finish the implementation of reports as data is not yet fully displayed. I am
doing that currently

Hello,

i am following the development going on around the opendpi version with ntop
extensions.
From the source/development note it is not clear for me how they can be used.
Is now OpenDPI a plugin for Ntop that can do automatically deep packet
inspection? Will it add further traffic information for example for HTTP in the
tables generated in Ntop?
Can protocols still be defined from the command line?
i have not tried the development version yet, but if these features are
available on ntop it would be awesome!

thank you.
