Hi everybody, I've got a problem. Since yesterday my ntop was connected to an internal switch (low traffic) and there werent problem. Today we linked ntop at University's Network (about 1Gbit). And ntop exploded! It's configured with NetFlow (using pmacctd+nfprobe and not nProbe as NetFlow probe). But i think the problem is the hw configuration. Because on our server we have: 1gb RAM 1,6 ghz CPU (Intel Xeon) 80 gb HD
Probably we'll decide to setup PF_Ring. But maybe it's not necessary, because the problem could be solved changing the hardware (could be right?). I wanna ask you which is the minimal configuration, and maybe the best configuration to run ntop without packetloss. thx -- R.
