Hi,

good questions! I managed to build an rpm using the development version using
svn
to get the source. I ran into a minor problem I couldn't figure out, somehow it
was
saying it needed libntop-5.0.1.so and libntop-5.0.2.so, so after the install I
created
a symbolic link from 5.0.2 to 5.0.1 and it ran ok. Couldn't find where it was
getting
the requires libntop-5.0.1.so from.

Hi.

I've made a source and i386 RPM for 5.0.1 an installed it. My question
was about 5.0.2 and why am I not able to download it. Also I've asked
why ntop informs about 5.0.2 if it is a development version.

Best regards,
Rafal.

Hi Rafal,

Did you ever put together a 5.0.2 src rpm for el6?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi All.

I am using ntop 5.0.1. Currently I have in my log file:
Nov 5 15:38:55 ntop_server ntop[873]: CHKVER: Checking current ntop
version at version.ntop.org/version.xml
Nov 5 15:38:56 ntop_server ntop[873]: CHKVER: Version file is from
'version.ntop.org'
Nov 5 15:38:56 ntop_server ntop[873]: CHKVER: as of date is
'2012-10-16T11:00:47'
Nov 5 15:38:56 ntop_server ntop[873]: CHKVER: This version of ntop is a
minimally supported but OLDER version - please upgrade
File version.ntop.org/version.xml shows:
<stable>5.0.1</stable>
<development>5.0.2</development
So why is the mentioned info in my logfile if 5.0.2 is development version?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ntop/files/ntop/Stable/ - here I can only
download 5.0.1, there is no link to 5.0.2.
So should I get it with svn as in http://www.ntop.org/get-started/download/
? Should I just:
svn co https://svn.ntop.org/svn/ntop/trunk/ntop/ cd ntop
./autogen.sh
to make sources for 5.0.2? And then make an rpm out of this source code?

Best regards,
Rafal Radecki.
