Hi,
I've been using ntop-ng with nprobe for quite some time now and it
works fine. I've been wanting to ask this question but somehow it escaped
my mind time and again. I run ntop-ng and nprobe with the following
commands:-
./nprobe --zmq tcp://*:5556 -i eth0 -b 1 -u 1
./ntopng -i tcp://<ip of nprobe host>:5556
I tried to run with the command for ntop-ng given in the home page which
goes like
./ntopng -i tcp://127.0.0.1:5556 but ntop-ng was not reporting any flows.
But, when I give the above command for ntop-ng giving the ip-address of the
host on which nprobe is running, then it seems to be working fine. This is
quite strange for me since I think it is in the netflow client(nprobe) that
we should be specifying the collector address and not in the netflow
collector. I am also able to specify multiple nprobe hosts by repeating -i
option in ntop-ng.
Is it supposed to be this way?? Or am I doing something wrong but yet it
seems to somehow work????
Thanks in advance...
