Isn't just the file corrupted?
The one I have downloaded just now from geolite....
has c07f28bad67f5d8e16fbe8733d4c092e as md5 and it is expanded correctly.

1ebb917c00d7ed3bd18bca39f1ca0767  GeoLiteCityv6.dat
