Check the console output, it should write something about the zmq socket creation.Check also with netstat if you have a port in listening mode on the 5556Yuri
- During starting nprobe (nprobe --zmq "tcp://*:5556" -i eth0 -n none) there is:
24/Apr/2015 08:03:28 [util.c:3726] Succesfully created ZMQ endpoint tcp://*:5556
- in netstat there is nprobe with listening on 5556 port
But still I can't telnet to it from logserver to port 5556 :(. Iptables as I said is flushed in every table. I'll mention also this is demo version of nprobe.

Ok, I've found the reason. I have firewall between logserver and router and thats why I couldn't to connect. After disabling everything work.
Many sorry for confusion and we're closing this case.
