It’s been fine for a few years of happy use now, until… Unfortunately, the box was upgraded by a colleague and thus the kernel is now 4.4.0-34. So, I re-synchronized using “git clone https://github.com/ntop/PF_RING.git” and then made and loaded the kernel and ixgbe drivers again.
