I'm running ntop-02-04-13 and I've had this
problem with other versions aswell.
HTTP works perfectly, but I get this error
on HTTPS:
Error 408
The request was timed-out.

I run it like so:
ntop -P /var/db/ntop/ -W 3001 -w 3000 -u nobody -i xl0
and access it
https://ip:3001/
