Don't know about the "normal" ntop, but you can use ntop to export
netflow traffic to a collector that insert it to a database and then
make nice statistics for every host, port, protocol etc for a arbitrary
range of time. You can get a collector for MySQL from me for free.
There's "sflow" export possible, too. Seems to be similar to netflow.
