Hello:
I recently installed a very minimal RedHat 7.1
system as a ntop station. I have another station with a full RH 7.1
install that does not have this problem, so I am initially curious if there is a
missed dependancy. On the minimal install machine I get console errors
saying:
linux socket:operation not permitted
I have seen this in the past as a sudo issue, but
sudo is installed. The messages log also reports the kernel complaining
that:
Kernel:ntop uses obsolete
(PF_INET,SOCK_PACKET)
Has anyone seen this? Might there be
something that needs to be installed or do you think the minimal install issue
is a red hering? lastly, is there a list of what packages must be
installed for ntop to compile and run properly? I would like to build
minimal machines as ntop stations.
Thanks much
Dave
