Look into ntop's support for netFlow and/or sFlow. THere isn't much
documentation beyond the normal for netFlow (Cisco) and sFlow
(http://www.sflow.org), so you'll have to experiment. Once you get it
working, please, PLEASE, contribute a HOWTO for the docs/ directory!

There are a couple of folks who monitor the list who have this working - so
if you have VERY SPECIFIC questions, please ask, and maybe one of them will
offer words of wisdom.

Subject: [Ntop] monitor ntop data of second eth-device

hello ntop-list!

i installed ntop on my dns-server, which is a standalone
linuxbox with redhat 7.3 running and only one eth0 device
present

now i want to monitor the traffic on my router/firewall,
which is a second standalone linuxbox with 2 nic-devices
eth0 and eth1.

is there a possibilty to have ntop installed on the first
machine and sniff the network data from the eth1-device
on the second linuxbox?

thx 4 help!
