Here's the command used to start ntop as normal:

/usr/sbin/ntop -d -P /usr/share/ntop/ -u ntop -i eth1 -E -m
10.117.0.0/16,10.1.0.0/16,10.2.0.0/16,10.3.0.0/16,10.4.0.0/16,10.64.0.0/16
-p /home/ntop/protocol.list -L

btw, this worked fine when I compiled the src. But not with the rpm

First off, you don't give us the command line you're using - so this is a
shot in the dark.

Remember, the loopback interface is an odd one...  try a real address, not
127.0.0.1

Otherwise, see the howto @ snapshot and give the information I usually
request...

After installing the rpm version of 2.0.99RC2, it doesn't seem to be
listening on port 3000, or any port.  When I run netstat -a, I see no port
3000 listening.  Even when I manually edit /etc/init.d/ntop and add -w
