Sounds like some of your users are running port scans... that would account
for the constantly increasing hostsInfo.db file (i.e. constantly increasing
population of seen hosts).

I think the leak is in gdbm ... at least a web search shows some reports...

However, 1.8.0 is the latest release, so you'll have to hunt for their cvs
version and try that...
