I have
discovered some more information. If I run it with -K parameter it seems to run
fine, so far.
This
leads me to believe it must be something with fork() on the "Read Only" html
pages.

Subject: [Ntop] ntop processes go to sleep1) When I run ntop it seems to chug along doing fine, until I try and access the web page. When I access the web page the command promptappears, several of the ntop processes, monitored with top, disappear and the remaining ones go to sleep and don't seem to wake up.I am still able to access the web pages and look at data, but it doesn't appear to be changing. I can use the admin tab to shutdown ntop and it eventually exits cleanly.2) /usr/local/bin/ntop -P /usr/local/share/ntop/ -u ntop -i eth13) Compiled from source, downloaded this morning 10/25/02OS:LFS 4.0gcc 3.2mrtg, apache, syslog-ng, screen, normal kernel stuff.4) AMD 1800+, KT3 ultra mb, 512 Meg memory, dlink nic cards.5) T1x2, around 40 machines.
