Check further in the back traffic - there was a discussion about PPPoE vs
PPPoA vs...

Anyway, I made the code as best I could and asked the list for help in
further refining the solution. No reply, so I dropped it...

Subject: [Ntop] ntop doesnt log linux kernel-mode PPPoE interfaces

[Please CC [EMAIL PROTECTED] as I'm not subscribed to the list]

Ntop (2.1.50 and -current) doesn't log any traffic on my PPPoE
iface (ppp0) setup with the Linux kernel mode drivers (ie *not*
rp-pppoe). All traffic on the local interface (eth1) is logged as
expected.

I found this mail while digging through the archives,
http://lists.ntop.org/pipermail/ntop/2002-July/002174.html and since the
patch was applied I reverted it but packets are still not logged by
ntop.

tcpdump (libpcap-0.7.1) does log packets on ppp0 (theese packets arent
logged by ntop):

Any help would be welcome,

Andreas
