Subject: [Ntop] total traffic

dear people . now i know these may seem to be no-brainer questions,
but . i have read all the documentation i can *find* . i would be
happy to be pointed to previous discussion or doc pages that i
haven't seen yet . here are my simple questions

1 the sums of data traffic indicated by ntop in the web pages
it produces . are these totals since inception or totals since
restart or totals since some other event ?

2 in data sent > all protocols and data received > all
protocols, my machine appears at the top of the list of a whole list
of machines . is this
        a) a sum of all the other traffic ?
        b) data being picked up from other machines ? ( how ? )

3 can i re-read my config files without disturbing the
currently collected data ?

thank you , and apologies for asking such basic questions
