Having redone my homeworks, here's my problem,

I'm trying to run Ntop on the W32 plateform (W98se to be more precise).

I followed the instructions to build it (successfully with vtop-2.1.3 and
with 2.1.51) . No special problem has been encountered. I used:
- MinGW-1.1.tar.gz
- WPdpack_2_3.zip
- gdbm-1.8.0-20010430.zip

As I said, the building process went smooth, except for few warning from gcc.

When I launch Ntop (without parameters), it give me this error message:
-----------------
Wait please: ntop is coming up...
18/Nov/2002 14:23:05 Initializing IP services...
18/Nov/2002 14:23:05 Initializing GDBM...
18/Nov/2002 14:23:05 Database './addressCache.db' open failed: unknown gdbm errno
18/Nov/2002 14:23:05 Possible solution: please use '-P <directory>'
-----------------
and of course, using the -P does not give any result. I tried different <directory>
(even a freshly
created one) and still have the same message.

I ran thru the FAQ and the archive of the mailing list but problems are rather on
building Ntop than
trying to start it...

Anyone succeed on this plateform? Any hint ?
