Running
-------
Q. ntop -i1 ... doesn't work
A. ntop has special parameters under Win32
Under win32 there are TWO COMPLETELY SEPARATE TYPES OF PARAMETERS.
There are the parameters to the win32 stub AND there are parameters to
ntop itself.
AFTER THE win32 parameters are the ntop parameters in the standard
(Unix) -xxx format.
ntop /c <normal parms> runs ntop INTERACTIVELY with the specified
ntop parameters
ntop /i <parameters> installs ntop as a service to run with the
specified parameters
ntop /d deletes the ntop service
Remember, ntop /i and ntop /d don't actually run the service - you need
to start it.

Subject: [Ntop] Can't pass startup options to win32 ntop
All, Scanned the archives and faqs but could not find much info. Our
company purchased and is using win32 version ntop 2.1.51c which I would like
to run as a Windows service.
I cannot seem to be able to pass startup switches/options to the service
when it starts. Running ntop as a console I can successfully pass along
items such as -p protocollist.txt and -i 1 just fine. Have tried entering
the switch options in the "start parameters" box under "services", but ntop
starts up with default settings.
TIA,
Elden
