Andreas has sent along a patch which he's using in his old version of ntop for PPPoE support. Conceptually it's right, but I'd like somebody - who has a PPPoE connection to give it a try before I commit it.
Note that if you're a normal home user, where the PPPoE stuff is handled by your gateway/router, I don't think you have the problem in the first place, because the gateway/router strips off the PPPoE encapsulation. What I need is somebody who's running the cvs version and has visibility to encapsulated PPPoE traffic. This patch should let you peer into those packets as if they weren't encapsulated.
