Hi

We use ntop to monitor a community WLAN amongst other things - and very good it is too!

I have just started looking into the RRD plugin side of things and enabled the logging
by hosts in the plugin config page. We have found that the ntop logs to rrd hosts
file by mac address rather than ip address even when -o is specified on the command
line. We have to use the -o switch since we cannot trust the MAC addresses on the
WLAN.

This means that stats are mangled in the RRD databse.

Is there any way to force ntop to log to RRD via ip address rather than MAC address
when the -o switch is specified? The example in the rrdandntop.pdf shows ip's not
macs so I assume this default functionality was changed at some time?

Version info:
Generated by ntop <http://www.ntop.org/> v.2.2.96 MT (SSL) [i686-pc-linux-gnu (redhat
Linux 8.0)] (11/22/03 10:10:46 AM build)

Thanks in advance for your help.
