The ntop mailing list is closed - in that you have to be a member to post. That protects us from most outside spam and viruses. However, if a member of the list is infected and the virus/et al pulls the mailing list address from that individuals mail program it will get through.
Where it can be especially bad is that many of us use white list rules for mailing lists, vs. passing them through the spam filters. Bad Burton - go clean up K9.
