The 3.0pre2 ports .tgz I posted changes the chown to drop the last qualifier (so it's $(DESTDIR)/$(datadir)/ntop not $(DESTDIR)/$(datadir)/ntop/rrd).
Other than that and the new .tgz source file, I didn't change anything. But using those files, I don't have to create anything - it just works fine on both 4.9 and 5.2...
