Well, no, if it's showing DAG that's what it's running - the constant is
hard coded in version.c during the ./configure and compile ...

I wonder if there is a 32 bit library statically linked in there.

I don't have a Xeon to run on so I can't tell... The OS is supposed to
recognize i386 executables and run them as 32 bit, right?

$ objdump /usr/bin/ntop -f

/usr/bin/ntop:     file format elf32-i386
architecture: i386, flags 0x00000112:
EXEC_P, HAS_SYMS, D_PAGED
start address 0x08049ab8

My basic recommendation would be to build from the source. That way all the
tools and libraries will be Xeon.

Sorry, physical configuration is:
Dell 2600 Dual Xeon (quad virtual) procs with 4GB of RAM.
Heres the configuration text output (I have used RPM to remove ntop and
reinstalled with your RPM but its still showing Dag, Im working on that
right now)

Subject: RE: [Ntop] Ntop locks up when opening configNtop.html

Well let's see...

You never told us ANYTHING about your configuration ...

One observation, secs=1167310760 on the sleep() calls (e.g. scanIdleLoop,
etc.) is absurd. If you told ntop to sleep for 37 years, I could guess how
it looks like it's locked up...

Something is wrong with your libraries or some such...The code is clearly
hardcoded to 60s:

void* scanIdleLoop(void* notUsed _UNUSED_) {
 traceEvent(CONST_TRACE_INFO, "THREADMGMT: Idle host scan thread
running...");
 for(;;) {
 int i;
 HEARTBEAT(0, "scanIdleLoop(), sleep(60)...", NULL);
 sleep(60 /* do not change */);

The ONLY things that comes to mind - is this perhaps a 64 bit CPU or big
endian hardware (i386 is little endian)?
