From then on Total received/processed stay on the same value and Dropped
(libpcap) starts incresing fast. No new data is captures from that point.
P.S. while collecting correctie a there are a few Dropped (libpcap)'s
Info:
- slackware v10.0 (on a P4,with 1Gbmem)
- ntop 3.1
- libpcap 0.8.3 (latest?)
- gd (2.0.33 latest?)
- startup parameters: --skip-version-check -nw 3000 -i eth1
The log doen's show any errors or warnings. (only a NOTE: -:|--use-syslog.......)
P.S. the termination of captiring seems to be somwhat related (aka event occuring at more or less the same moment) to the following kernel message create by iplogging module)
But it's probably unrelated.
hostname iplog[150]: ICMP: 213.162.171.193 time exceeded to 132.147.160.2 (udp 138/138)
kernel: 213.162.171.193 sent an invalid ICMP type 11, code 0 error to a broadcast: 132.147..255.255 on eth0
132.147.160.2 being ntop/server ipnumber 213.162.171.193 some router of the WAN connection
