Yes (you are off base). ntop uses the interface name, e.g. eth0 or dc0 or
whatever. I don't even see what makes you think there are two columns...
it's just simple HTML radio buttons:

Available Network Interfaces:</B><P>
<FORM ACTION=switch.html>
<INPUT TYPE=radio NAME=interface VALUE=1 CHECKED>&nbsp;eth1&nbsp;[id=0]<br>
<INPUT TYPE=radio NAME=interface VALUE=2 >&nbsp;eth2&nbsp;[id=1]<br>
<p><INPUT TYPE=submit VALUE="Switch NIC">&nbsp;<INPUT TYPE=reset
VALUE=Reset>
</FORM>

Subject: [Ntop] Naming the interfaces

I noticed under the "Switch Interface" that there is two colums. Is one of
them for a label and if so, how do you label it? I tried the method in the
ifcfg-eth2 scripts, using redhat v3 ES, but that didn't work. Am I way off
base or what?
