Where did you get said RPM? AFAIK (and since I package and upload ntop to SourceForge, it's not a bad K) we haven't distributed an FC4 version.
So I've got no clue how said program was compiled, whether there were patches applied, etc. Use the source and use gdb (instructions in docs/FAQ) to find the failure point information. -----Burton -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paolo Supino Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2005 6:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Ntop] Fedora core buffer over run Hi I've downloaded and installed ntop on a FC4 system I just installed (the name of the RPM is: ntop-3.1-1.2.fc4.rf.i386.rpm) and when ever I start ntop it aborts with the error: *** buffer overflow detected ***: ntop terminated I've attatched a file with all the output printed by ntop. Did anyone experience a similar behavior. Does anyone know why this happens and how do I fix it?
